How to Preserve a Legacy Forever

“I’m in the Empire business…”

Recording every single wedding as raw video and photo files takes a massive amount of space. I’m getting close to 100 Terabytes currently. I have everything backed up on physical hard drives in a separate enclosure that I keep turned off next to my PC. At various moments throughout the year I flip this on and create a quick anniversary reel or export a few extra stills here and there.

Your memories are important to me, so I don’t just keep them backed up on physical hard drives. I also periodically send the entire massive amount of data to the cloud through a service called backblaze. In this way, my video production company essentially acts as its own dropbox. If my house ever explodes due to having too much cinematic greatness contained inside of one room, then I simply pay backblaze a fee and they send me all of my data on physical drives.

When you choose Bywater Lens, you aren’t just paying for a wedding day; you’re paying for the peace of mind that your legacy is protected by a professional-grade infrastructure.
